| The Art of Spiritual Meditation |
The
purpose
of meditation is to attain divine grace. This
grace is not found within the human mind, nor is it found
in the peace that the world can give. Divine grace can
only be attained by a state of inner silence, inner awareness
and spiritual receptivity.Within the practice of meditation, you can experience an inner connection to God’s unconditional love. It is a powerful influence and a gentle presence that encourages us and fills our lives and hearts with hope and faith. To enter into a sacred space of peace and oneness with God; you simply spend a few moments of opening your mind and heart to fully experience unconditional love and divine grace. We invite you now to take a moment out of your busy day, to find a quiet place ... close your eyes, relax your body, and receive the many wonderful benefits of spiritual meditation. Experiencing Spiritual Meditation All forms of meditation and prayer begin with stillness and serenity. Find a quiet place, and begin by relaxing your body and your mind. Take a few deep breaths, and each time you exhale feel your body relax deeper and deeper into a peaceful and serene state. Let go of your worries and cares during this time. Feel only the presence and the infinite light of God within you. Enjoy this feeling as you progress through the meditation. If you find yourself becoming anxious or thinking of other things, bring your thoughts back to the infinite light of God that dwells within you. Let the feeling of the meditation transform you, and let the words of guided meditations inspire you, as you say them either silently or aloud.
